CHICAGO SHOOT

Today was the day of our Chicago 1920's style shoot which I really enjoyed. Here are a few photographs from the shoot. It was my first time working with a photographer and I enjoyed styling our models as a group. We went for multiple different looks giving you glimpses of that 1920's era and oozing that Chicago vibe. There were pearls, chains, suits, frilled shirts, bow ties, bowler hats, embellishments and tassels galore. We set our shoot in a bar we felt adequate for the shoot with the different lighting and vintage look. I particularly loved our bar shots and the shot of our female model in a monochrome suit.

NEW WINTER LOOK LAYOUT + UPDATE

Hey everyone! So I started university in September studying fashion journalism with brand promotion which I'm really enjoying. I haven't updated this in absolutely ages and decided it'd be great for me to start this back up regularly alongside university. I also learned how to use photoshop etc. so I'll be able to edit all my pictures properly and gave my blog a better new more sophisticated look. So yeah, just an update of a few good things to come really. Oh I also got offered and exciting job opportunity through this blog so I thought it was time to make a real effort with it and see where it could take me. Anyway here's some pictures of my final piece I created at the end of sixth form a few months ago.

I'm back - MAJOR life update

Right so I'm back and this time I'm definitely here to stay. Recently I've reaaaaaally been trying to get my shit together and I've decided, seeing as I'm off to university in September to study fashion journalism, that this needs to be one of my main priorities plus I enjoy writing this so much and the outreach I had last time was actually incredible. I'd go on nights out and have girls coming up to me that I hardly knew saying they regularly read my blog and loved my advice so I'm starting it up again. Plus my a-levels are over FOREVER from this friday so NO EXCUSES. I've missed you all very dearly too!!

So some life updates, erm, yeah I'm finishing sixth form and off to study fashion journalism with brand promotion at UCLan (University of Central Lancashire) in September which should be super exciting. I work as a waitress at the moment but have been offered a full time job up until uni in a call centre which I may just accept to get some extra money and save for uni. Anyway some pictures for you all of some of my life since I went a bit awol and disappeared off the scene haha! Must admit I haven't done anything too interesting!

I ombre'd my hair myself (DIY ombre) and I had my nose pierced. If anyone's interested in how I did my hair I could write a blog post about products used etc. etc. It really was very easy!
Oh and nose piercing pain was literally like 1/10 it didn't hurt in the slightest.

I also finished textiles like FOREVER. This makes me super sad as I loved it so much. This was the final ever piece I had to make. It will be so missed! This piece is based on 'rhythm and movement' and I used paper to try and portray this.

I also partied.. LOTS. Drank multiple cocktails which is super naughty seeing as I'm not meant to be living the uni life just yet haha!

And.. of course.. I also bought lots of new outfits and accessories!

Those forever 21 shoes though!

Pandora/chlobo rings, marc watch and HOH nails!!

All my favourite makeup at the moment!

Another new outfit I treated myself to!

I also managed to achieve over 1000 likes on this instagram picture I posted!

So yeah, that's a little about my life, nothing too interesting to report other than uni really but you'll be hearing from me a lot more now. Bought a whole new outfit which I shall be blogging for you tomorrow!

OH ALSO, one last thing, should I start vlogging?!?!?!

Thanks for reading xox

To create a new blog or not to create a new blog..

As I'm sure many of you have noticed I haven't been active for a loooooooong while. I really want to get back blogging regularly and I'm really motivated to do so seeing as I'm off to uni in September to study Fashion Journalism. I'm so very sorry for my inactivity but all will be changing as of now. I will either use a new blog or carry on with this one.. I haven't quite decided yet. I'll keep you all informed. Thanks to everyone who reads this blog or has taken the time to read even one of my posts, it's greatly appreciated. As I now have two jobs, one in Primark and one in a pub near mine (they serve carveries and I get 50% off them ahhhh!) I actually have some money to purchase nice clothes to feature on here. I look forward to starting to blog properly :) Just realised that there has been a lot of life updates from me actually, new jobs and a certainty about what I want to do in the future! I have interviews for uni in like a week which I'm super scared for but hey ho I'll try my best and fingers crossed I get a place.

To any of you reading this, thanks for sticking with me and I promise you'll see and hear a lot more from me from now on x x x

WHITE CHIFFON

How beauts this dress!? I got it for like £10 from a shop in Spain and I was absolutely made up. I'm 100% sure there will be one identical on eBay though for those of you that like it. I love the colour too. Now I don't normally go for white dresses as they are easily ruined but on holiday I felt like there was nothing more appropriate than a nice white dress and the other colours just didn't look as nice (in my opinion).

I just teamed this dress with a really cheap mirrored belt I got from primark and my chunky cleated shoes(I swear I can't stop wearing these). In order to ensure this outfit was night time attire I wore some dangle earrings and my clutch bag from New Look.

Thanks so much for reading! I'll add more to this post tomorrow but right now I'm incredibly tired (don't ask why I decided to proceed with post writing now -.- haha)

POP IT, LOCK IT, POLKA DOT IT

How gorgeous are these skorts!? They're from Primark and were super cheap so I'm absolutely chuffed I got them. I think they're so nice because they're not only appropriate for in the day but you could also wear them of a night. I love clothes that can be worn either in the day or of a night so much.

As the skorts make rather a statement by themselves I chose to wear a plain white lacey crop top which I got from New Look. This was also quite the bargain! I absolutely love a good old holiday shop as on holiday you feel so great wearing all of your new clothes.

In order to dress this outfit up I chose to wear dangly earrings however this could easily be toned down by wearing an over-sized denim jacket or smaller earrings and a more casual bag.

MESHING AROUND

I can't believe I got this top from Spain! It was pretty cheap as well at about £10. As soon as I saw it I absolutely loved it and knew it'd really go with my mesh insert pencil skirt as well as being worn more casually with shorts. I really love mesh at the moment and simply cannot get enough of it!

I wore this pencil skirt again as, to be honest, it's my favourite skirt that I own. It's just so flattering and I just love the mesh inserts. It looks so much better than just your average black pencil skirt. I've ordered another skirt off select of this sort of style which I shall blog about soon (if it fits and everything haha!). This skirt was only £7 and so is the one I have just ordered. I thoroughly recommend Select and it's one of my favourite stores as it's so cheap but you get good quality items that are stunning.

Under the mesh top I felt that it wouldn't be appropriate without a bandeau on so I put a bandeau on to keep my dignity in tact haha! I also wore my chunky strappy sandals which I'm sure you're not surprised about seeing as I wore them like evverrryy day!
