SUN, SEA, SAND AND SKIRTS

As you probably know, I went on a clothes/accessories haul yesterday and couldn't resist styling some of them up today. I wore my tartan head scarf and midi rings and I absolutely adore both. I wore a bright red lip to go with the tartan head scarf. I love all things statement and I think this head scarf is quite a statement. Tartan is very in at the moment and I suggest getting something tartan as soon as possible! I wasn't sure if I liked tartan at first but now I love it.
I also wore my 'topshop' skirt (I got it from a charity shop though it's originally from Topshop) which is absolutely gorgeous. The shape of it as well is so pretty, it flares out in such a lovely way. I also love the material of it. It's quite a thick jersey kind of material.
My 'Vivienne Westwood' bag also came yesterday and I was made up with it. I got it off eBay for £6. Yes, I know the chances are that it's not a genuine Vivienne Westwood bag but that doesn't bother me, especially when the bag was only £6. I love the feel of this bag aswell, it feels so well made.
It was a rather brisk day on the beach so I wore my faux leather jacket from Miss Selfridge. I love this jacket because of the squares on the shoulder. I think they look so pretty.

CLOTHES HAUL

Today I went on a shopping spree and pretty much everything you see is from good old Primark! Tartan is big at the moment so I just HAD to get a tartan headband and skater skirt. I wasn't sure how I would style them up at first and whether I would be able to pull off tartan but I have tried it out and adore it. Tartan is definitely my new thing.
I also got a white chiffon cami which as you can probably tell is rather small, they didnt have my size so I had to make do and mend. I am going back tomorrow to buy some more and think I will just go for a size much bigger than my normal size as that is all they have left. I do like them when they look baggy though so hopefully it'll look okay.
Midi rings are also big right now so I picked some up from Primark and I am loving them. They complete my 'tartan' look. Primark has some really pretty ones for so cheap so get yourself down there. I also got some normal rings to be teamed with the midi rings from Primark. Primarks jewellery at the moment is really good!
You may be wondering why I have bought self adhesive holographic paper and plastic wallets. Well, I thought I would make my own holographic clutch. There will be a tutorial on here soon about how to make your own and a picture of my finished product! Saves paying lots of money for one.
Now onto the coat. The coat was from a charity shop for a few pounds and I LOVE it. I love the black and white monochrome pattern and the shape of it. It's a beautiful coat and I definitely got a bargain. I didn't think it would go with tartan but to my surprise I really liked it and thought it went.
Of course I got primark eyelashes. Who goes to Primark and doesn't get a pair of their eyelashes for a pound? If you don't then you certainly need to give them a try. I love them and find that the glue is amazing! The only thing is, you have to cut them down to size however I have to do that with absolutely any eyelashes I buy even the more expensive eyelure makes. My mum also got me some laval eyelashes which I am eager to try.
The white 'vivienne westwood' bag is from eBay for around £6. It is absolutely beautiful and came from China. Yes, I know its not a real vivenne westwood bag though it may aswell be! Its so well made, I was shocked when I received it as to how nice the material was. I was expecting it to be a really flimsy material however it isn't. It's a really nice bag and was such a bargain.
I also got another top from Primark which I think is very pretty and was only £4 so I just had to get it. The colour is so vibrant, electric blue is one of my favourite colours. I love bright clothing.
And, of course I got some necessities. I really needed some tights so I got a cheap pair from Primark!

IT WAS AN ITSY BITSY TEENY WEENY RED BIKINI

So, this is Revlons new shade, red bikini and I am in love with it. It's vibrant colour is definitely beach worthy and enough to brighten up the dullest of days. Its a seriously swoon worthy nail varnish. It dries so fast and is very easily applied.
This nail varnish claims to be expertly developed and has 'silk protein shield' to prevent bubbles, streaks and brush marks. It certainly lives up to this. It took me all of 2 minutes to paint my nails and usually it is a very messy process for me though this time it wasn't. It left me with perfect red nails; no streaks and no mess.
There's nothing better than nail varnish that is easy to apply, I find that this gives you the most effective end result otherwise I am left with horrifically streaky, messy nails which is not a good look.
Overall I would give this nail varnish a 9/10. The nail varnish itself is definitely worth a 10 however the price was £6.49 which I find rather expensive for red nail varnish.

OH I DO LIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE ☀

Today I went to work on a beach so I thought it would be wise to take advantage of the beautiful views. I was there working with my mum as her 'bouncy castle attendant'. As you can see, this proved to be a lot of fun for me. It was a rather 'brisk' day to say the least and that's why I am wearing tights!
I wore my favourite skirt in the whole wide world! It's from zara. Its so bright and colourful and I tried to portray that in my pictures though I don't think that even they show just how bright it is! I got it from a carboot for £2 only to later realise that it was a complete sell out and is going on eBay for around £50.
I also wore a cropped denim jacket that I bleached myself in an attempt to get that 'cloud wash' effect. I like this denim jacket as it really accentuates your waist. I find that my other denim jackets look less feminine as they fall down past all of your best assets and hide them.
I wore my floral headband as per usual. If I'm honest with you, I am wearing this a lot lately not only because I love it but also because it does a good job of masking my roots. It disguises them whilst sitting pretty on my head. I often get compliments about this headband due to how much it stands out. Its so girly and pretty which is right up my street.
My chanel lookalike bag topped this all off. I was thinking about wearing a neon green satchel however I felt it looked too much as the floral headband and floral skirt are both very bright anyway. Therefore I felt that a nice black bag went well with this. I love both black and white bags as they go with just about everything.
Oh and I also had my own little tent on the beach to sit in which apparently is meant for children. Seems suitable for me after my love for our nemo bouncy castle.

CHARITY SHOP BARGAIN

My mum is a saint! She found me this skirt in a charity shop and laid it out on my bed. I got home opened my door and was greeted by this beauty. I really love this skirt! It was only £2 aswell! I also did my homework on this skirt and what makes it even better is that it was meant to be £40 from Topshop but that's not all, it was also a sell out! So yay to my mum, she did a good job and found me this pretty little number.
So once again I am going to ramble on about how much I adore charity shops and car boots. Honestly the clothes you find in there can be so beautiful though I do appreciate that they can be the opposite end of the scale (horrific). But, if you think about it all shops are like that. For example there's those absolutely gorgeous zara lookalike strappy heels in primark but then there's also the leopard print 'yolo' and '#swag' bags. It's like that pretty much every where you go so I suggest giving your local charity shop a quick browse.
For the rest of the outfit I added a white tie top and white heels. The skirt was meant to be what really stood out so I just added a basic white top and shoes and to finish a plain black bag. I love the kind of tweed material on the skirt it really does make it stand out. As for the bag, I have realised it's kind of like chanel bags which has made me like it even more!

HAUL - CAR BOOT LOVE

So a few days ago I went to a car boot sale and was meant to be selling all of my items however a few things caught my eye and I had to buy them! I really recommend car boot sales and I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing they are. Honestly, if your feeling worried about buying second hand things then please don't!

The day you buy your first second hand item of clothing you'll never turn back. I mean don't get me wrong I love buying new things too but items from charity shops and car boot sales are so cheap and can be so amazing. Not only did I pick up a few items that I am really happy with I also made £60! Wasn't a bad trip at all!

This is the first dress that caught my eye and my favourite purchase from the car boot. I really love the colours and the pattern. I wore this yesterday and received many compliments to which I proudly responded 'thanks so much, it was only £1.50 from a car boot sale'. Their response went along the lines of ':O'.

So yeah back to the dress. It's so pretty and can be either dressed up or down. I teamed it with a bag I got from turkey (not a real mulberry but never the less its a beautiful bag) which I think goes with this dress perfectly. The colours match perfectly! One of my most favourite things in the world is when I buy something new and it matches one of my favourite bags (strange I know). I also often plan ahead and think 'hm will that match one of my bags at home'.

This is my second favourite purchase from the car boot and for 35p it was an absolute bargain. Yes, you heard me right, 35p. I couldn't believe it when I picked up tonnes of clothes and she only said one pound for all of them. See, this is why car boots are a must. This dress is so pretty and would be great for a night out or for a day out. It could either be dressed up or dressed down once again like the first dress I bought. I dressed it down with a denim jacket.

I also adore the material of this dress. Chiffon is one of my favourite materials for items of clothing. I feel that it looks classy yet edgy at the same time. White is also one of my favourite colours for a dress though I do often like bright colours/patterns. I suppose you could say that white is bright though as it's a colour that really stands out. If you read my blog often then you will know that I constantly wear white nail varnish. I just love it! This dress could be teamed with a number of bags due to the fact that white goes with just about everything. Another reason why I love it.

My third and final purchase from the car boot is this bright skirt. I did buy another skirt for 35p though the waist is absolutely tiny and wont go anywhere near me! Another advantage of a car boot sale is that if the item you buy doesn't fit then it doesn't matter as they're so cheap in price. You can also return and just sell it the next time you go which is what I plan to do. This was also only 35p so once again was an absolute bargain.

What really drew me to this was the bright colours. As I said I'm a sucker for bright colours and fresh white! I'm also a sucker for black and white monochrome looks at the moment but that's another story. I really like how pretty the patterns are and this can also be worn as a top meaning a skirt and top in one all for 35p!
